We designed Kolorcans after years of rotationally molding 100's of different products for a diverse base of customers.

Our goal was to create a full line of products that will not only last but be instrumental in generating revenue for your school or organization by selling adspace to local businesses.  In 2003 we manufactured and donated 12 Kolorcans to the LakeMills,Wisconsin public schools. We molded them in the schools blue and gold colors and the art class handpainted the teams logo on the dometop. After years of sitting outdoors at the football field we knew we had a great product. Local members of the community
constantly told us how nice they looked at the field. After 4 years outside in brutal Wisconsin weather they still look
great.

Roto molding is the reason. It's the best process to make large, tough and good looking plastic products.
We start out with a white polyethylene powder and mix any color we want. The entire Kolorcan is a solid color. If it gets scratched you never see it. They are molded thick so they are strong and don't dent
or chip like metal does.  The rotomolding process is environmentally friendly. We don't throw anything away.
It all gets recycled in our plant and molded into something else.
We started with the standard of the industry. A round 42 gallon unit with a single door dometop lid. Being the new guys we had the luxury of correcting some of the simple things. We created molded-in handles to make moving them around a lot easier.

We eliminated the metal hinges on the flip door and created a complete maintenance free plastic hinge. The door is designed to close by gravity. Even strong winds won't affect it. On two sides of the base we made a flat space where you mount advertising or any type of signage that is appropriate.

To finish it off we designed a simple plastic liner made from the same process.
This eliminates the need to use garbage bags. The liner has two handles that make handling it a breeze.
To complete the 42 gallon round Kolorcan we came up with two specialty lids. First was the recycling lid. It's the perfect companion for the 42 gallon dometop. It's engineered to taper towards the center so any spillage automatically drains. Next came the Bee-resistor lid.  If you play golf or spend a lot of time outdoors you know how bees and insects love to make trashcans their home. What we did was create a
very close tolerance flip door that is weighted to close automatically. These seal so tightly that it's nearly
impossible for any insects to get in.  If you manage a daycare center or a park, golfcourse, beach anywhere
that children play you will like these. Both of these lids are available in all the colors or granite finishes and will fit well on a standard 55 gallon drum.
In January 2008 we will begin shipping our newest product -  the Kolorcan Square container.
This is designed with all the same features as our 42 gallon system. It is the perfect unit to use indoors.
It takes up less floorspace than the round design yet still has a large 32gallon capacity.
